The world of Oehlie / Illustration & themed environments
One character.
A world of stories.
Oehlie is more than a mascot. Around the recognisable Monkey Town character, Creative Blast develops a world of places, adventures and details. From Mini Town, a play environment where children can take on their own roles, to the illustrations for Oehlie's storybook.
That world extends beyond the book and Mini Town. Creative Blast created designs for play equipment, wall illustrations, laser tag rooms and party rooms, always built on the same recognisable visual language.
01 / Mini Town
From illustrated world
to hands-on discovery.
In Mini Town, Oehlie's world takes on a spatial form. Children can invent their own games at locations including a vet, a bakery and a construction site.
Creative Blast designed the illustrated graphics. Façades, interior walls, doors and views connect, turning separate surfaces into a coherent play environment. The designs and photographs show how the drawings take their place in the completed space.
02 / From design to realisation
Every surface considered.
One coherent whole.
A wall design needs to work as more than an illustration. It must fit the structure, connect with neighbouring panels and account for doors, openings and sightlines.
The developed elevations show how the graphics are distributed across the different surfaces. From the vet's exterior to its interior walls: the story continues all around.
03 / The storybook
More than a face.
A story of his own.
Creative Blast illustrated Oehlie's storybook. It adds depth to the world around the character, with his own house, other characters and jungle adventures.
Poses, expressions and environments carry the story. The same recognisable style connects quiet moments at home with larger scenes full of action and discovery.
04 / Large format & signage
A strong visual.
Ready for production.
Alongside the creative design, Creative Blast prepares large-format artwork and signage for print production. Illustrations are translated into files that suit the dimensions, materials and specifications of the manufacturer.
This includes panel divisions, the right scale and resolution, bleed and alignment between sections. The combination of design and technical development helps the imagery work at large scale too.
